How we handle your details.

What personal information Thermarate collects through this website and by email, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

01

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our quote form, we collect what you enter: your name and email address; your company and phone number, if you give them; what kind of client you are; your project’s details, such as its type, location and timing; the plans or documents you upload or link to; and your message.

If you email or call us, we keep what you send or tell us.

That’s all this website collects. It has no analytics or advertising trackers, and it sets no cookies. Like any website host, ours keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site. Our client portal is a separate service.

02

How we use it

We use your details to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, and deliver and invoice the work you engage us for. We contact you about that work. We don’t add you to marketing lists, and we never sell or rent your information.

03

Who sees it

  • Our own team, to do the work.
  • The services that run our business: Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the quote form, and our email and file storage providers. Some of them store information outside Australia.
  • The people your project needs, such as your building surveyor or your builder, once you engage us and the work calls for it.
  • Anyone the law requires us to share it with.

04

Your plans and documents

Plans you send are used only for your project. We keep project records, including plans and reports, for as long as our accreditation, our professional obligations and the law require, and then dispose of them.

We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

05

Seeing, correcting or deleting it

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it, by emailing admin@thermarate.com.au. We may need to keep some records where the law or our accreditation requires it, and we’ll tell you if so.

06

Questions and complaints

Email us at admin@thermarate.com.au. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We’ll update this statement if the way we handle information changes. Last updated 27 October 2026.
