A NatHERS rating tests your design against a fixed star band. A Performance Solution under H6V2 tests it against the Code’s own Deemed-to-Satisfy version of the same house.

On some designs, that changes which upgrades are needed. Decide at concept stage, before the upgrade list arrives, and the glazing and the layout you worked for are far more likely to survive.
